Tagged Image File Format, shortly known as TIFF is considered best for editing Bitmap images. It makes every job that BMP does, but TIFF is usually chosen because it is more effective than BMP and it meant to be high quality. Hence TIFF is not recommended for small files due to applying a non-compression method for them. It is mostly used by photographers and graphic artists because of the image manipulation, transparency and page-layout applications that it offers. TIFF is created by Aldus Corporation which became a part of Adobe Software and published its last update under Adobe Systems.
