Italian Language

Italian is a Romance language that is the closest to Latin among others. In Italy, Vatican City, Switzerland and San Marion it is the official language. Moreover, Italian has great importance due to immigration in Latin America. Due to countless terminology used in music, Italian is world widely known as the language of music. According to European Union statistics, Italian is spoken by 13% of the total EU population as a native language. Although many dialects of Italian appear around the world, Standard Italian is widely spread. Italian alphabet consists of 21 Latin characters and “j, k, w, x, y” letters are distinctively excluded from the alphabet.
