GIF Format

GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) is one of the most familiar image formats on the web, known for portability and broad support alongside JPEG. It uses lossless compression so quality stays the same, but it is limited to 256 colors, so it is best for graphics and logos rather than full-color photos. GIF supports animation, which PNG does not. For OCR, use GIFs that contain clear, readable text; our tool extracts the text and outputs plain text (TXT).

Output: Plain Text (TXT)

Converting to plain text (TXT) gives you the extracted text only—no formatting. TXT is universal, small, and easy to paste into any editor, email, or app. Use it when you need the words without layout or when you want to search or process the content programmatically.
