Bulgarian Language

Bulgarian, which is written as “български” is the official language of Bulgaria and it is Slavic belonging to language family called Indo-European. Modern Bulgarian that is spoken now dates to 1700’s and grammar structure has been evolving since. It has similar characteristics with other Slavic languages like Macedonian and Serbian. Bulgarian is the official language of Bulgaria but there is also a considerable amount of people talk Bulgarian in countries such as Serbia, Kosovo, Republic of Macedonia, Greece and Turkey. Bulgarian alphabet is composed of Cyrillic script and after Latin and Greek scripts, it is the third official script in the European Union.
